Autumn Wishes. Halloween Wishes.

I'm giving myself a little break today, since I have been working out every day. Sitting in front of my computer, instead of rushing all my projects, I blog hopping, eBaying and daydreaming!

Not much stitching done on my "Autumn Wishes". But what I can show you is the second house was added into the design ~ the red house. There are four houses in this sampler.

I received this beautiful Halloween card and a very cute little owl ornament along with some sweet treats from my secret pen pal! The owl is so beautifully stitched and so neatly done. She also did a perfect job of selecting the backing fabric for this ornament. I just love it! Thank you so much, Lizzy! Since she wrote a return address on the envelope, so I decided to write her a letter.

My Email Account Was Being Hacked by Spammer!

Just a quick note to you all. My existing email account was being hacked by spammer. I lost all my emails in a sudden! This happened after I respond to an "Official email from Yahoo" asking for verification.

To all yahoo email user, please don't respond to this spam sent by "Fake Yahoo Verification"! All your mails will be delete from your inbox and spam messages will send to all of your contacts.

I have 4 new "Failure Notice" messages in my inbox now, but the strange thing is I don't send any email to these 4 persons in these few days. I know this spam was successfully sent from my address to all my contacts. It fail to send to these 4 persons because their address was no longer exist. The "Failure Notice" which sent using my email address by the spammer read:

"Hope you get this on time, I made a trip to Edinburgh, Scotland and had my bag stolen from me with my passport and personal effects therein. The embassy is willing to help by letting me fly without my passport, I just have to pay for a ticket and settle Hotel bills. Unfortunately for me, I can't have access to funds, I've made contact with my bank but they need more time to come up with a new one. I was thinking of asking you to lend me some quick funds that I can give back as soon as I get in. I really need to be on the next available flight.

I can forward you details on how you can get the funds to me.

I await your response!"

If you get such email, just ignore it. Stay away from this scam.

For security reason, I will get another new email account soon.

Autumn Wishes

I have been missing in action for a while in blogland. I just have no time to post and read blogs. Too many things but too little time. I was overloaded with graphic design jobs and houseworks! Dark circles started appeared beneath my eyes now because I haven't gotten enough sleep. Our ex-cleaning lady will not come back due to some family problems. So we planned to hire another new cleaning lady and we have to wait for another 1 to 2 months for her to arrive. I hope you're still with me and will give me some time to catch up with all of you and get back to normal.

Pictures shown here are my latest WIP design ~ Autumn Wishes.

I managed to finished 1/4 part of the design. You can see sheeps, a pumpkin, apple tree and a incomplete house. It has four houses in this sampler. Love working on this piece.

I joined "Secret pen pal" organized by Parsley a month back. Each of us given an address of a participant. The rules are the participants must send a letter each month start from August through December. We must keep our identity secret until the last letter and post on our blog each month about the letter we had received (sorry, I was late posting this, I would like to apologize to my secrat penpal, I know you have been watching my blog several times).

Look what I had receive from Lizzy Penpall. Lizzy is not her real name. She named herself Lizzy because Lizzie Kate is her favorite designer.

I love the purple flowers in this beautiful card.

This month, she sent me a very cute card together with an adorable scarecrow.

Thanks, Lizzy! I love it very much.

He is now sitting on my display shelf.

Four months ago, my husband made a pond from a large plant pot and placed it on our center courtyard. He also bought a small pump and two black molly fishes to set up a fish pond. After few weeks, I was just amazed, because I didn't expect it, seeing our little pond having 8 little baby mollies in it.

And after two weeks, there are more than 20! Everyone in the house were so happy and excited.

Now, you can see a bunch of fishes happily swimming in it.

Kitchen Prayer

I have been working on this pattern for about
five months! Remember my cleaning lady have
gone back to her homeland until this September?
I do the stitching 10 ~ 20 minutes every night.
Well, today, I had done the model stitching
and took the picture this morning.

"Kitchen Prayer"
Model was stitched on 32 count Belfast Flax Linen;
one plies over two threads.

Tonight I will start another new design.
Something about a colorful Autumn?
Pumpkin? Houses?? I was so excited my head is
spinning with ton of ideas, so I thought
I'd draft it out and will come back to
you soon. Can't wait.

Missed You All

How time flies, I has just been working more
than usual and haven't really have time to
update my blog since two months ago.
I missed all of you and your beautiful blog.
My cleaning lady has gone back to her
homeland due to working permit was due.
I have to do all the housekeeping
jobs all by myself and have to get my
graphic design works done before I pick up
my daughters from kindergarten every weekdays.
I have contacted my cleaning lady last week
and happy to hear that she will be back to us
on September.

When time allowed, I do stop by some of
my favorite blog for quick reading but time not
allowed me to leave comment;
I feeling so bad. Please give me some time,
I will catch up and comment on your post soon.

About stitching work, I worked on my latest
design "Kitchen Prayer" 10 minutes per day.
Hope I could take some pictures to show
on my next post.

Christmas Angel & A New Start

I have completed my first Christmas
pattern design.

Christmas Angel

This design took me longer than I expected
because I was too busy on my graphic design
works in order to meet the deadline.

What's next? I have a new design idea last week.
I has spent few hours on the first draft.

Some part of the design are reproduction from
an antique washcloth; I start stitching the model
in last weekend and it looks good.

Other than that, I was so please to received many
emails from some bloggers and readers who are
interested to purchase some of my designs;
I start working on my selling blog where I could
sell all my designs and I wish I can launch my
selling blog soon.

I Am Back!

It has been a while since my last post so
I thought I better do an update to let you know
that I am still in blogland. Things have been
really hectic and I was overwhelmed with works
in these few months. Turn on the computer every
morning right after I wake up before I make
myself a cup of tea, checking client's emails,
finished up some works and received some
new works at the same time; But I never forget
my stitching, I design charts and stitch
whenever I have time; Beside this, I also
behind on blog reading, if I haven't left
comment on your blog recently, give me
some time and I'll comment on your post soon.

I do have some stitching works to show.

I was very happy with all of them.
of course that means I start designing
something new. I have been working on
this for a number of days now,
on and off.

"Christmas Angel", isn't beautiful?
This angel looks so sweet and I love
her hair so much. Hopefully I can get
most of it done before the Christmas day.

The other things I would like to show
you is some framed works I picked up
from the framer.

I choose a simple white frame for
"Cupcake Cottage";

And a dark mahogany frame for "Spring".

There is nothing better than receiving a gift.

Two Turtle Doves

A huge thank you to everyone of you for
all the encouraging words on my Christmas
sampler design. I really appreciate them
all and motivated me to create more designs.

I finished it up my second Christmas design
"Two Turtle Doves" last week but couldn't
get a decent picture of it to post
due to my busy designing career.

Here is my second design for
The Twelve Days of Christmas Series:

The second day of Christmas 
My true love sent to me 
Two turtle doves, and 

A partridge in a pear tree.

I loved every minute of stitching on this piece.
It's such a special design and it was very nice to stitch on.
This piece is stitched one thread over two on
35-count Tea linen with DMC flosses.

When I'm not in the mood to stitch, I crocheting!
No crocheting for more than 4 years until
I brought these two magazines.

Love these Japanese crochet magazines because
everything is illustrated and in chart form, it's so
easy to learn even though I can't read Japanese.

This is the first project I've chose from
the magazine. Isn't beautiful?

And I'm in the progress of making
a pink shawl for my daughters.

Not much happening here other than stitching and
crocheting; So I thought I'd post some pictures of
some new stash I got on the past week.

First up, I finally got my hands on a
copy of JCS Christmas Ornaments Issue 2010.
It contains lots of beautiful
ornaments that I just can't wait
to start stitching.

Then sampler pattern from Birds of
a Feather and Homespun Elegance.

And lots of flosses.

A Partridge In A Pear Tree

It was real rain with some thunder boomers
since past week, so I'm more alive and happiest (LOL).
I finished my xmas design I started two weeks ago. Now,
my illustration has been adopted into this cross stitch sampler.

The model is stitched on 28-count Vintage Country Mocha
linen with DMC threads and Weeks Dye Works Deep Sea.

My original idea is to design a simple xmas ornament
without the alphabets and borders, but it turns out
great after I added the borders around the design and
alphabets on it. The piece become bigger and bigger
and it didn't look like an ornament anymore,
and I don't want a giant xmas ornament to hang
on my xmas tree! (LOL).

Spring

I finished designing and stitching "Spring"
last week, and done with the beads yesterday.

Flowers around the house. Colorful butterflies flying away
and bird in the tree. The days of spring are here.

Here is my third piece of original design.

The weather is extremely hot here. Generally,
I don't like it when the weather is extremely hot,
I get too tired, grouchy and grumpy in the heat,
I am more alive and happiest when it's cold especially
during rainy days. Other than staying inside a room with
air conditioning, what comes to my mind now are some
stitching for Christmas as a way to cool down. (LOL)
I hope I can show you some progress of my
original Christmas cross stitch design on my next post.

I went to my best friend's wedding dinner last weekend
and I have some beautiful pictures to share with you.

The environment is nice and ambience.

Love the decor with beautiful flowers and

lighting candles creates a romantic dining environment.

I received a package in the mail the past week.
It's a beautiful handkerchief case from Rachel
all the way from Belgium. She also included
a beautiful thread. She know I love purple.

Thank you so much Rachel, I just love it.

Look at this handkerchief case that
she sent. It's so beautiful and lovely. I love
both the outer and inner fabrics of this case.
She is a talented quilter and crocheter. She love
to do beautiful crafts and I adores all her
creative works. If you have never visited

I won a giveaway from Terri last month ago.
So sweet of she to made something special for me
to go along with the package 6 weeks ago.
I am still waiting for the package and worrying
the package was lost. Me and Terri have never
expected it would take this long to reach here
from US. It's usually takes 3 to 6 weeks
shipping time. I do hope the package is still with
the custom or post office due to some checking delay
but not losing it. I willing to wait for more weeks
or even months as long as the package is not being
steal or lost. Because it contains Terri's
beautiful crafts.

Cupcake Cottage

I would like to let you all know what's been up with me.
It's been two months since my last post. I was overwhelmed with
my advertising design projects, many of them has been done but also
many new incoming jobs. I wish I could get the job done early so I can
have more time to stitch. Sorry I was behind on blog reading and
I haven't had time to read and comment too much.
I hope to catch up soon.

I managed to stitch 20 minutes to 30 minutes every night before
going to bed. I'm still working on my design "Cupcake Cottage"
but almost done.

I just haven't felt like changing to stitch my WIPs as yet, because
it's so fun to stitch. There are plenty more borders to stitch.

These three cupcakes are coming along nicely.
I love the cupcake with cherry.

Cross Stitch Design

I love to draw when I was young,
since my elementary school years, I have always wanted to
become an artist or a graphic designer and this ambition of mine
has not changed. So I became an advertising and graphic designer
after graduated from an art and design college. I spent most of
my time designing leaflet, brochure, poster, packaging design,
logo design… below-the-line items for my clients for
more than 13 years. Last 2 years ago, I fell in love with
cross stitching, I began to think of the fun of stitching
when I was at work.

Now I love to draw on fabric more than drawing on paper,
and love to do coloring on fabric too! I start to
create cross stitch pattern using my imagination and
feel so fulfilled doing this. I love it!!

I've been busy creating and stitching up my design
all weeks and today, I can't wait and show you my work. :)

I've finished the lower part of the design (1/3 of the design)…
I LOVE love the "lollipop" trees. And now I'm working on the cottage.

I will put in some wordings on top of the cottage.
The cutest part of this design is the top part of the pattern
which I already got the pictured in my mind.
Hope I can finish stitching it and show to you soon.

I've made a bit more progress on my Angel of Hope
for the Christmas SAL.

I love the result stitched using DMC lights effect floss
but it's a nightmare to stitch! Pattern taken from
Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornaments Issue 2009.
I'm going to continue stitching it when time allows.

Bouquet for Cheryl & New Start

I have been a bit slow with my stitching in these past weeks.

I have made a little progress on my Bouquet of
Cheryl SAL and happy to go ahead with the colors.
It's going to be beautiful!

Next up is a new start.

Angel of Hope from M Design taken from
Just Cross Stitching Christmas Ornaments Issue 2009.

To save my time to buy all those floss colors that I don't have,
I always substitute similar floss colors or replace with another color.
This chart is quite easy, I hope I can stitching up quickly so
I can start stitching another chart from the magazine.

Look at all these hand dyed threads
and fabrics I bought from Nina,

the colors are so vivid and beautiful.
Aren't they beautiful?

The renovations and improvements work for
the backyard patio has been done on February.

I love to spend 10 to 15 minutes here after sending my
eldest daughter to kindergarten almost every morning.
Nothing better than taking a sip of my favorite coffee and
settling down with a stitching magazine before I start my work.
Sometimes my daughters loves to have their meal here,
and also the place where our guests enjoy the wine.

An Award & Quick Project

I was so thrilled that Theresa given me this Blog Award.

This is going to be very difficult to write
7 things about myself but I'll try…

1. I am a coffee addict. I drink black coffee
every morning and I can't start my day without it.

2. I am a very patience person. I always forgive very quickly
because I always get to a point where I feel like I am
wasting my time and energy. Cross stitching is one of my
methods of dealing with stress and anger.

3. My grandfather is an artist. Since a very young age,
I have been intrigued by the beauty of art and this grew
into a love for art and drawing. I am an art director in
advertising field before I work from home four years ago.

4. I am the eldest child and grandchild in the family. I don't
see my siblings very often as we lived in different states.
So we appreciated every single minute when we get together.

5. I can speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay.

6. I consider myself a shy and quiet person but I am
a good listener and observer. I listen more than I talk.

7. I look younger if I cut my hair short but I love long hair.

It's hard to write about 7 things about myself but
It's even harder to passing the award on to only 7 others
as there are too many beautiful blogs that I always visit
and some of them have already awarded. I think all of the
bloggers are deserve to receive this award.

Home Improvement & SAL WIP

Yay! I finally have time to post for my blog today! I finally
finished some unpacking job after few weeks since we moved in to
this house, so I can devote more and more time to pick up my needle
for my WIP at night, I don't have time to stitch in daytime,
so I stole away half an hour to stitch every night before I go to bed.

The weather here in Malaysia has been extremely hot and humid
recently. It reach 35 degrees Celsius (approximately 95 degrees
Fahrenheit). According to the weather forecast, the heat wave will
stay for another few more weeks! Heat is making me crazy, lucky
enough to have air conditioning in my working room and bedroom.

The house renovation is 90 percent done now. And the furniture
and home improvement are 60 percent complete. For this post,
I would like to share with you some of our new house's sculptures
and a cute little ceiling fan.

This is a designer lightcraft my DH purchased before the house
renovation start. We installed it in our dining area, making the
dining room more brighter and better lighting. It spend two hours
for the installer to fix it on the ceiling!

This is the crystal light in the exit front door area.

This is the light sculpture which we installed it in the
dry kitchen above the mini bar island.

And this cute little pink ceiling fan is specially bought for
our two daughters for their PINK princess room.

Okay, I don't want to get you all bored of my house renovation
topic. Let me share some of my WIPs that I worked over this
past few weeks. I know this has been a very long time but my
stitching progress is very little.

I'm in the process of putting some stitches for Mary Wigham SAL too,
it have been nearly two months of time I haven't picked her up since
I moved house. Here is my progress over the past few months. Didn't
get as much as I had hope done but at least I started to continue
working on her again. For all those initials alphabet for Mary,
I would like to replace it with my own family's name initials and
I will do that at the end of the project.

I have also finally started on my second SAL - Bouquet for Cheryl.
Here is my work as of early March. I'm using 28 ct. light peach Cashel
linen with only four shade of Anchor colors.

Hopefully I can get more stitching done within this month.

Busy January

Sorry everyone for the lack of posting and visit to your blog,
I have been busy with packing the old house and cleaning
the new house before we move in. And it's been two months
since we started the renovation before we move in the new house.
Lots of cleaning jobs, packing and unpacking, organizing and
arranging things… cleaning again… shopping for grocery
and home utilities… :( tiring! No stitching for more than
a month and I really missed my needle.

This is my new dry kitchen after renovation.

I will upload more picture of my new house in the next few posts.

I was so happy to have a little bit of time to spend on choosing
the right fabric and flosses for my new SAL "A Bouquet for Cheryl"
which is supposed to start on 5th January 2010.

I will stitch one over one on 28 ct. light peach color
Cashel Linen using 4 shade of Anchor colors. I think my bouquet
will look sweet with these color combination.
I hope I can join in the SAL fun soon!

Christmas is drawing near. Today, I finished up
this beautiful Merry Christmas designed by Michelle.
I just love this design. Thanks again Michelle for
sharing this wonderful chart! I stitched using Anchor colors as
I don't have DMC color in my stash, one over one on 32 count
Platinum Belfast Linen. I try my best to choose the Anchor
colors that similar to the suggested colors.

I finished it as a mini pillow.

I do feel Christmas is now just around the corner.
Christmas songs are inescapable in every shopping malls and
retail outlets. From Jingle Bells to Silver Bells. We're in
Ikea yesterday. And christmas spirit does not abide here in Ikano.

Look what I bought at the christmas fair...

are the free gift that I get from Ikea.

I've loved reading other people's blogs all over the world so I finally have come to the conclusion and decided to do one of my own and join the blog world! Here I will share all the facets of my day to day life in the home studio as well as my handicraft works.
